Mission Update: Sullivan University Systems Joins with Wayside

Sullivan University Joins with Mission to Combat Homelessness

For fifty years, Sullivan University has offered career-based degree programs to students in Louisville and Lexington.  In celebrating half a century of quality, career focused learning, Sullivan University announced its intention to partner with Wayside Christian Mission in combating homelessness through a number of creative educational programs that will benefit the women and men who operate the Mission's Hotel Louisville on West Broadway.  Hotel Louisville is the only hotel in America that is operated almost exclusively by women who are transitional residents staying at Hotel Louisville and who participate in one of the Mission's training programs or who have graduated from a training program. Hotel Louisville is unique in that it provides both formal vocational training plus genuine hands-on experience through their Work Therapy Program.

Considering Sullivan University's top shelf hospitality and renown culinary arts training, this collaborative effort between Sullivan University and Wayside Christian Mission is a natural--and the women and men who staff Hotel Louisville will be the true beneficiaries.  At a recent press conference held at Hotel Louisville, Sullivan University unveiled details of this new partnership after members of the press, Sullivan faculty members, and Wayside Christian Mission staff personnel were treated to a Hotel Louisville video produced by Transform Media.   By teaming up with Sullivan University, Wayside Christian Mission will be in a better position of providing quality vocational training to those in our care.  We are indeed looking forward to a fruitful and lasting relationship with our friends at Sullivan University.  To view the Hotel Louisville video, follow this link:
