Exciting New Educational Program at Wayside

 

     Many thanks to Sullivan University's Angela Riggs, Dean of Early Childhood Education, for her hard work and leadership in launching the first of a new series of educational workshops at Wayside Christian Mission's Hotel Louisville!  These two hour parenting/early childhood educational sessions will include such topics as Storytelling and Literacy, Child Abuse and Neglect, Guidance Techniques, Toilet Training, and Recognizing Childhood Illnesses.  The first session, Everyday Math with Kids, had our parents engaged in a number of hands-on activities that will allow them to better assist their children with math homework.  By all counts, this first of these many parenting/early childhood educational sessions was a huge success!  The number of parents in attendance and the degree of their participation was most encouraging!  Again, we offer our sincerest gratitude to Angela Riggs and Sullivan University!  Thank you for helping those who are in our care!
